Though the New York Times may be loathe to admit it, I think "piracy teams" or some variant thereof may be WAY cooler than "warez groups."
"Warez" is so 1998.

I think that "Piracy Crews" would be significantly more applicable and slightly cooler. Perhaps I should write a letter?
Oh, man, you are absolutely right. I hereby declare (because I control the Internet) that people who coordinate with others to create a network of piracy shall refer to themselves as "Piracy Crews."
